"The suspension of prohibited drugs is groundless."

K League 1 Daejeon Hana Citizen said it was not true for Kim In-kyun, who was suspected of doping.

Daejeon said on its social network service (SNS) on the 12th, "I would like to inform you that the report of Kim In-kyun's suspension due to the use of banned drugs is not true."

Earlier, a media outlet reported that Kim In-kyun was suspended for taking banned drugs. Daejeon said Kim In-kyun was found to have taken banned drugs after the 8th round of Daegu FC on April 21, but confirmed with the player that he took the medicine due to cold symptoms.

Afterwards, Daejeon submitted clarification data to the Korea Anti-Doping Commission for the application for post-mortem exemption. Daejeon said Kim In-kyun had taken the formulation due to acute pharyngitis and was approved through an official document on June 24.

Daejeon said, "The suspension of prohibited drugs and suspension of qualifications for the players is groundless," adding, "The club has official calling data and will actively respond to the player so that he is not harmed by the wrong facts."
